Commercial premises for rent in Pikk Street, right behind Town Hall Square. Situated in an attractive and very visible location on one of the busiest streets in the Old Town, surrounded by beautiful medieval structures.
The history of the building dates back to the 15th century, when it belonged to the richest citizens of the city (burgomasters and blackheads). It was purchased by the company Thomas Clayhills & Son in 1729 which is regarded as Estonia’s oldest merchant company.
The building was fully renovated in 2010 and extended in 2014, and both the structure and its technical systems have been carefully maintained ever since. A professional cooling and ventilation system was installed in the building’s kitchen in 2020, while its heating, water and security systems were all serviced earlier this year.

The building is right in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town, just off Town Hall Square – the historical centrepoint of Tallinn, where a large number of streets come together. In the immediate vicinity of the building are a number of embassies, the Town Hall, the Schlössle and Telegraaf hotels, the Estonian History Museum and a Rimi supermarket. Town Hall Square, which is just 50 metres from the building, has retained its historical function: it is a popular meeting place for tourists and locals and often the starting point of tours of Tallinn’s sights.
The building is in the T2 parking zone, in which only residents of the Old Town are permitted to park. However, just a short walk away are the Europark car park at Aia 7 and the car parks at Väike-Rannavärav 6.
These outstanding premises are looking for a new tenant to continue it’s past success into the future!
